Proteomic Analysis of Ginseng (Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer) Fluid Proteins under Salt Stress

Ginseng (Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer), due to its relatively longer cultivation time, is often exposed environmental stresses such as heat, salt, and drought. Particularly, salt-stress-derived oxidative damages greatly affect photosynthetic efficiency consequently cause reduction of growth, development, yield ginseng. Thus, efforts have been made understand the salt-stress-induced changes at proteome levels; however, overall understanding possible salt-responsive proteins in still limited because their low-abundance. A growing body evidence suggests that plants secrete various low-abundant localized intra- extracellular spaces during stress conditions, those may a key role for salt tolerance. Therefore, here, we report fluids identify potential proteins. This approach led identification 261 secreted fluid proteins, functional categorization revealed identified were majorly associated with photosynthesis, protein synthesis, cell binding, metabolisms. Further validation using qRT-PCR analysis showed similar expression profiles heat-shock 70, glycosyl hydrolase 17, fructose-bisphosphate aldolase class-I results. Overall, proteomic successfully which might be helpful salt-tolerance mechanisms
